Family and school are the two primary systems to which children belong. Feeling safe, known and accepted in these systems is essential to a child's full engagement with learning. Over the past four years, as we have worked with teachers and parents, a number of ecl tools have naturally emerged.

The three tools are:

Feelings Thermometer
To help children identify and understand a range of emotions and develop a sensitivity to their own and others feelings.

Group Mobile
To help children to find and maintain a dynamic balance and harmony in the systems they belong.

Place People
To help children, parents and teachers develop a sense of 'right place' in relation to others and personal and group challenges

The tools provide opportunities for all involved to develop self-awareness and mindfulness through group experience. Used well, they can help your children enhance their learning and release their creative potential.
