2 insights
Today, two simple insights lie at heart of the approach.
Insight 1: Other ways of knowing
We predominantly educate our children from the head up and we focus on the left hand side of the brain. By relegating or dismissing other ways of knowing, we diminish our children's innate creative abilities. Addressing this imbalance enables us to develop the whole child, their ability to feel, sense and intuit, and reconnects our children and ourselves to our creative life force.
Insight 2: Seeing and working with wholes
Most approaches to education focus on the individual at the expense of understanding ourselves within a wider, dynamic context. To help our children successfully traverse the creative adventure of life, we need to help them learn to see and work with wholes, not just break everything down into parts. By enabling our children to explore more fully the interconnected web of life, we enhance their sense of belonging and co-create a safe and healthy climate for learning.
When these two insights are attended to, amazing things begin to happen, as if by magic ... out of nowhere. We...
Improve the receptivity of the child to learning
Enhance all capabilities - cognitive, emotional, physical, intuitive, social, spiritual...
Create a climate for learning that is based on a collective responsibility
Develop stronger partnerships between home and school
Increase levels of fulfillment amongst teachers and delight amongst parents
These insights have the power to enhance our children's learning, release their creative potential and transform their educational experience.
